I recently found this book in my Mom's Riverdale, New York kitchen.  "The Best Kitchen Quick Tips - 534 tricks, techniques, and shortcuts for the curious cook" is brilliant.  Compiled by the editors of Cook's Illustrated, this book logically lays out short cuts for preparing food, cleaning up, and kitchen efficiency.  I'd love to share some of my favorites with you in this post and in the future.…
