OK, i just started the 21 day detox.  Had my smoothie this morning and i'm starving:\  How are people getting thru to lunch and dinner?  Then i'm worried that lunch won't fill me up.

I'm super excited to do this, i mad two lunches and dinners yesterday for about 5 days worth and making more today.  Have two smoothies on hand in freezer for the weekend since i work and have to be to work at 7am..  Definitely a bit time consuming with grocery shopping and preparing meals but i'm thinking if i make a bunch of meals it will keep me going.  I know it will be well worth it.

Need support to get me through the day and helpful hints to keep me not thinking of food.

Love reading other blogs.

Cheers,

Jill

First, drink a big cup of water and wait a bit. It should help a bit. Also, take advantage of the "balanced snacks" that are offered (stick to the fruity ones the first week). You can also always have an apple or carrots as a snack. I found the lunches to be pretty filling, but if you space out your meals/snacks accordingly and keep up with your water, you should be able to keep your hunger in check while your body adjusts for the first few days. Good luck! :)

The first two days were the worst for me. I was so grouchy, had a terrible headache & was starving by the end of the day. But now we are on day 4 and I'm feeling much better! I didn't see any rules about the snacks, so I've made them all. We juice (or make a smoothie) in the morning, three(ish) hours after breakfast when you get hungry, eat a snack. Three(ish) hours later, I drink a big glass of water, eat lunch, and drink another big glass of water. Three(ish) hours later I eat another snack, 2-3 hours later I drink a big glass of water, eat dinner, and drink another big glass of water. THEN, we have one of the sweeter snacks for dessert. It's crazy, but has worked for me. The time in prepping the meals is insane and I'm not sure I can do week 2. I feel it's taking away from my daughter and the house! I've lost 3 pounds in 4 days and feel empowered because we aren't putting any "crap" in our bodies! Good luck!

The first day or so is rough.  I think it helps to focus on your goals for the fast.  And then seriously, drink a lot of water and go to bed early.

I'm starting week 3 and I never would have believed I could do this if I knew how hard it was gonna be! I started by posting my intentions on my Facebook page to make me more accountable. You know people will ask how you are doing with the cleanse! I felt like I got a taste of what a drug addict must go through on the 2nd day of my cleanse! It was horrible! Yes, I was starving as well! I'm anemic, so I did have an egg to get me through the night. I am a preschool teacher and we eat every meal family style. We have a cook that works hard, but it's still a lot of pasta and quick processed foods. It's been tough not to eat w/ the kids, but it does get easier and the taste of the chemicals in the food becomes more prominent. Making me want to sneak less and less. I have two children and I spend Sunday evening prepping as much as possible so I am not FAMISHED as I need to cut and peel and chop before I have to wait and bake my food. Prep seems to be key to success and less temptation to cheat for me. I also take Sunday to reorganize and clear out my fridge and pantry. Doing it once a week means it doesn't take much time. Then I know what I have and how much I have left. I have lost 7 lbs. so far. I laughed the first time I saw the BONUS Week 4, but now I am going to do it. I believe I will reach my weight goal by staying on it for one more week. This is the first time I have actually lost weight during the winter, rather than gaining! Hooray! Stay strong!!!! Keep reading your goals!
