Being a green mom I have always tried to do things that are environmentally friendly and have less of an impact on the world around me. I was doing my usual internet browsing when I stumbled across a service that could help me get rid of all my junk and at the same time ensure me that it is being recycled or reused. I usually get swamped around the holidays from all the unwanted junk and all the new gifts replacing the old gifts in my house. My solution would usually be to donate these items to a local thrift store or just simply toss them. I was very impressed at the fact that this service called Rosie the Recycler would recycle or reuse all my unwanted junk. Another neat thing about this service is that you can become a Rosie and start your own junk collecting business. Becoming a Rosie is extremely easy and anyone who has family and friends can do it. Your main task as a Rosie the Recycler would be to spread the word to family and friends that you can help them get rid of their junk and do it in an environmentally friendly way. It is the freecycle group http://www.freecycle.org/. All you have to do is join a group near you and the group is administered by yahoo. You 'OFFER' what you would like to give away and can even post a 'WANTED' request for an item that you would like.
