Weekly Assignment: Clean Out Your Cosmetics

March 7 - This week's assignment: Is your lip gloss older than your toddler? Toss it! Expired makeup can be a breeding ground for bacteria. Give your cabinet an early spring-cleaning and throw out old cosmetics -- or any with potentially hazardous chemicals linked to skin irritation and cancer.

A good thing to do after all your old cosmetics are cleaned out is to put a small label (those little colored circles work well) on your new cosmetics. You'd be surprised how long you keep that stuff.
