I saw the best bumper sticker today.

it was a pawprint- and was promoting adoption-

The simple message was:

"Who Rescues Who"

I absolutely agree that animals (dogs especially) are so loving and accepting that they actually "rescue" people from all sorts of stuff. Does anyone agree or have personal experiences of a pet rescuing you in time of need?

I'm going to go hug my sweet companion- Hannah my Golden retreiver

Dogs seem to know when you are not feeling well physically and mentally... they are always happy to see you!  Pets, especially dogs help lower blood pressure!

Hi everyone. I am new here.

As someone who is very active in rescue i totally agree.  We have seen some dogs coming in and changed that persons life, for the better. Its a beautiful thing to see, especially when they are heartbroken from losing a family pet and u can see their hearts healing slowly with the new arrival.

I love it and totally agree.

Absolutely. We recently adopted a cat from our local Humane Society as a second pet and a playmate for our yorkie-poo pup. Rather than buying another animal, we felt that adoption was a great option and started there. Our cat has been the most amazing playmate for our pup (and he for her) and honestly the best cat I've ever known. She is very sociable and cuddly but also very energetic and playful, the perfect combination. I have Cystic Fibrosis and recently went through a rough spell with my health and she cuddled with me every morning while I did my morning medication routine (takes about an hour) which definitely helped me get through it. We couldn't be happier with her. She's even won over my husband who is not much of a cat person at all.
