After five days of near "perfect" eating, I succumbed to a mini mindless binge on nuts this evening after dinner.  I should have known it was going to happen--sitting in front of the computer, struggling to do my homework for an online class I'm taking.  Earlier in the day, I found myself getting frustrated and unsettled in a yoga class. Hope

On paper, I seem to have everything right--I run 20-25 miles a week, practice yoga 5-7 days a week, have a degree in nutrition, eat well most (or some) of the time, and look physically fit and healthy--yet, I have a dark habit that has consumed me for over 3 years.  Somehow, sometime those years ago, I developed the horrible habit/disease/whatever-you-want-to-call-it practice of binge-eating.  I eat when I'm bored or stressed, mostly when I'm lonely, and frequently in front of the computer and…See More
