Lessons from a one legged duck

Several years ago, someone asked me how I came to this space of compassion for humanity in my life. I remember the question as if it were yesterday. At first, I was not sure how I was going to answer the question, and then this simple word floated up from my heart – LIFE.I once heard LIFE was an acronym for Love Is For Everyone. The simplicity of that message resonated with me because it was part of what I have learned my entire life. It was a valuable lesson I learned from my parents who made…See More

Spiritual Grilling Lessons

Posted on June 12, 2013 at 8:32pm 0 Comments

A friend of mine laughs at me and says I can find spiritual lessons in just about everything. So when I offered to help a friend learn how to grill, it also got me thinking about the qualities that are important when making food on the grill.

One of the things I began thinking about is that the quality of what comes off the grill often depends on what is done before the food ever goes on the grill. This past Memorial Day, like every other holiday, we…

Making a Change

Posted on June 10, 2013 at 8:57am 0 Comments

Last week, I ended by asking how we use our status in the world to create a more humane world. How do we, consciously or unconsciously, contribute to the inhumanity in the world? How do we try to avoid and deny responsibility for our place in creating a more humane world for all of humanity?

We have this tendency in our culture to blame people for not having achieved as much or done as well as others. We see things at an individual level and rarely…

Karma and Kindness Kitchen

Last month I said I was going to be blogging my way through Alex Guarnaschelli’s new cookbook, and I still plan to do that. However, a change in my financial situation has made it challenging to do so at present. Not having been to the grocery store much, or made much more then quesadillas and Mexican pizzas, my life experiences have not left me overflowing with inspiration. I had originally thought about writing about the lessons to be learned from lamb…

I think we do  have some things in common, including an interest in gluten free  food.  I need to be gluten free too.

Thank you for welcoming me.  I've been going through a rough patch for awhile longer than I realized.  It's making me cry a lot but I think it's a good sign.  Thank you again.

Greetings from the Tampa Bay :) My name is Lea, and I am the author of the Mother Baby Child Blog - http://motherbabychildblog.com. I started this blog to share my experience in having a baby just before my 1st son was about to turn 18 years old, as well as what life is like as a married mom after being single for so many years. I also blog about Christianity, baby and child stages, homeschooling, ADHD, Autism, Blog Marketing, etc. I share a lot on that blog during the non-summer seasons.

I also have a new healthy lifestyle and 90 day weight loss challenge blog -http://www.loseweightgethealthyfeelgreat.com - to accompany my Skinny Body business. I am working hard to complete the design of this new blog, so that I can provide valuable health and linformation, as well as my experience with our 90 day weight loss challenge. I gained quite a bit with this last baby, so I am struggling along with it. The plus is that we have gone all natural / organic foods and started an organic garden. It's lots of fun for the family, plus it's awesome to provide the children with food that I know is pesticide free.

I invite you to explore my blogs and provide your feedback.

Now that my baby is older, I have more time to meet more people that are genuinely interested in being as healthy as they can be. I am really excited about this!

I look forward to networking with you :)

Hugs & Blessings!
