I have had a couple new culinary adventures this week, i.e. trying to cook something I have never cooked before. Here is the score:
1. Homemade Greek Yogurt: 1 Me: 0
This one may have been because I could not give the yogurt the ample time it deserved...but I got a tip from a friend whose mother makes it all the time, so I will prevail next time. Lesson here: try, try again.

Normally I really like Fall. I love the temperature and the leaves, the smells and the foods. Come end of September I think, it's time to make soups or roast some vegetables. It's time to break open the oven and bake, filling the kitchen with warmth and comfort.

I grew up in a suburban city...houses, backyards, driveways... I lived in the same house until I graduated college and got a job. Growing up I had very conflicting ideas of where I wanted to live in the future. Either a city, where I could take trains and not have to drive (I hate sitting in traffic) or a little stone town in Italy (or someplace where I could have a garden).
