Hi All,

Tomorrow is the last day of detox week 1. I want to continue making the detox recipes. Is there any reason to go off detox?

Today, as every Saturday, I went to my synagogue luncheon where all matter of "goodies" are served. I prepared myself by eating lunch at home first (detox striped bass & steamed rice dish). Although I was sufficiently full after the lunch I had at home, I partook of cantaloupe chunks & plain raw salad at the luncheon. Eating together with others is a bonding experience & I don't want to lose that.

Hi Chaya -- if you check out Dr. Junger's book Clean, you'll see you can go a little longer on strict detox, up to 4 weeks. I'm finding that even post official detox, I still really love the way I feel if I have a smoothie instead of a full meal, and I've found that my body tolerates only small amounts of dairy, wheat, and meat. There are two goals to reintroducing foods -- one is that you don't want to get bored or it's harder to sustain, and the other is just bringing your calorie intake up so you can be safely active.
