a few pretty things to spruce up your workspace

In light of one of today's challenges, I thought we might need a little inspiration. Here are a few pretty things from Etsy to spruce up your workspace...

You can check out this whole collection by heading over to my Spruce Up Your Workspace treasury on Etsy. I can get so lost in that site, just browsing for hours and swooning over all of the genius handmade and vintage wares. I would love to decorate my office with these prints and goodies. Just think about how much more bearable a tough day would be if you glanced up from your computer and saw that dapper sea otter staring back at you. Or if you plugged your iPod into that incredible wooden docking station.

For whatever reason I keep my 9-to-5 workspace pretty bare. No framed pictures or little knick knacks around, just a calendar and then the practical stuff.  We may be moving our office sometime in the next few months so perhaps once we're in a new space I'll feel more inspired to spruce it up. My little sewing workspace at home recently got a bit of a clean-up so it's at least functional now and I'm looking forward to prettying that up too.  I just hung up a cute print from Rifle Paper Co., right beneath a custom watercolor made for me by this artist.

What does your workspace/office/studio look like? Bare and functional? Cozy and cluttered? Modern? Bohemian? Big or small? Do you share it with anyone? I have my own office and have three neighboring co-workers. At home, my sewing space is squished in a room with my beau's computer desk, my bike, ski equipment and lots of books. And you should see it, it's less than 100 square feet!

I love this post! Thanks for the inspiration. My office is at my home, with a window that looks out to our garden yard. I have a new chair which I love, but the rest of it is a total work in progress, so these things are really inspiring. Thank you again.
