Hmm, does that mean with real food or a real break or at lunch time? When I sat at my desk at my 'real' job, lunch was taking a break to walk around the city lake. When I was on the road for my job, lunch break was something everyone else took that I had to work around.

Now lunch is work! Because it's summer, my daughter is home, my husband, who is a teacher, is home, and they expect a real meal! Personally, I'd be happy with a smoothie and call it good, but oh no! They want something cooked. I'm moving my office to another location!

And speaking of smoothies-mine are never smooth, which is fine, I just don't like calling them smoothies. It's fruit, milk and yogurt in a blender. It can be slightly chunky. Fruigurts, maybe?

Thanks for the recommendation on the book! I looked it up, looks interesting! The little one actually does like to help cook which is great, makes for good convo time. I'm the same way when I'm working on a project-never realize the time. Good luck on the thesis!

Call your smoothies whatever you like (personally I have the same "problem" and I find "fruigurts" funny) and get your husband to cook lunch for himself and your daughter, or even better make them cook together (just get them the cook book "jamie oliver - ministry of food") - he'll discover the joy of cooking and your daughter will have something (a cooking father!) to show off with when school starts again ;-)...
I'm a student writing my master thesis and I completely understand that taking a real lunchbreak really means to put down work and prepare something to eat, but sometimes I'm so focussed I just work through and then I ralize it's "lunchtime" at 3 or 4 pm. but I don't really care. I mean if my body doesn't feel hungry before, it should be fine, no?
