Ahhhhh - Day 2 and 3 almost there...

The one thing I will say is that anyone who hasn't started the detox yet, should prepare lunches and soups BEFORE starting. It's torture to make our lunches at night (for the following day). Torture I tell ya! But I've been strong and haven't had a bite at night. Just soups.

I don't know who is having more fun with having jumped right in w/ two feet, me or my boyfriend. He is definitely not amused at the level of green stuff in the fridge, at all. And I am not amused at the amount of preparation and cleaning involved in this! Can I hire someone to make everything for me? Arg.

Overall we are making it a team effort and feeling good. We are thinking about ending our 5 day detox (we added a day since we jumped right in) with a nice Salt-water flush. What are we thinkin? We will be squeaky clean, that's what!

Day Two menu
Mango smoothies - Quinoa salad w/ turkey, snap peas, green onion, lemon & EVOO - pureed broccoli soup. We also shared a glass of the fennel-apple juice. Yum. I snacked on snap peas and humms in the afternoon.

Day Three menu
peach-rasberrie smoothies - baked snapper & quinoa salad - broccoli soup and 1/2 glass of green juice. I snacked on cucumber w/mint & lemon and a handful of almonds.

Tonight we made Green Juice, but with spinach instead of broccoli. Quite an interesting taste, too.

I have been drinking decaf Acai Berry tea every morning. My 'lack-of-caffine-headache' has gone away, thank gawd. I'm a coffee fanatic, the stronger the better. So this has been trying for me.

Today I felt tingly all over - kind of like the way it feels after a brisk walk or run. I am hungry most of the time and try not to think about the next time I am eating.

That's it for now. I'm pooped! On to day four...
