I typically work out 2:30-3 hours daily and this plan does not allow for the calorie expenditure, thus leaving me exhausted and weak. My typical workout consists of weights (45 min), running 30 miles per week and assorted core/bosu classes offered at my gym (East Bank Club, for reference). Some runs are almost two hours. You would think a marathoner can eat 'whatever you want and not gain weight' but this is not true. My portion are out of whack and don't want to just 'double up' on the good stuff and not lose. Suggestions????

Thanks. I know I can be considered "obsessive", though I prefer focused. :)
I run 4-5 marathons a year so I'm ALWAYS doing something, but since this may make me a little quicker dropping a few lb's, it can't hurt to tweak the workouts a bit. Thanks for your suggestion!!! Lauren

I'm not qualified in any way to give you advice because I don't workout that much and never have, but from what I've read about working out and detoxing (during previous detoxes), because of the lighter calorie intake you should adjust your workouts to burn less calories. While you're detoxing maybe just walk, do yoga or stretch. I know that sounds like nothing compared to your normal workout regime, but it's just for a short time. Then when you go back to eating regular foods resume your workout schedule. To make sure you're getting enough calories perhaps try calorie counting your food and logging the calories you burn while exercising. I use www.thedailyplate.com. Hope this is helpful!
