Good Afternoon Friends!
From the Mind of Aberdeen --
No Show for Snow? What an interesting day. Fairly chilly, but no signs of snow yet. I have been patiently waiting. In the words of Michelle - this is New England, so who knows what will come. The first snowflakes of the season are always so exciting to see. Perhaps skiing will be sooner this year than I expected!
Challenge of the Day--
This is great advice. Sometimes I feel like the daily challenges could be a guide for my life! I have not purchased apples from the farmers' market yet, only because we got so many when we went picking in mid-September. I have since run out though, so I plan to ask this weekend about pesticides. A lot of the vendors have signs up at their booths explaining how they do not use pesticides. Interesting tip!
Enlightening Tidbits--
I have been thinking lately about ways I can help to spread more smiles. It seems that people have gotten very busy lately and seem to be losing sight of the happiness of the season, with time flying by so quickly! Today I researched volunteer opportunities in my community, but it is difficult to decide which organization to devote my time. There are countless good causes and people in need, and I want to help them all! I have a friend who suggested the animal shelter and another who recommended a reading program for inmates. Do you have any projects that have particularly moved you? I would love to hear about your experience if you don't mind sharing!
Thanks, xo,
Aberdeen
