Happy Friday, WL!

From the Mind of Aberdeen

It is hard to believe October is quickly wrapping up.  Halloween, once a distant holiday, is turning the corner and will soon be behind us again.  It is such a lovely season - my favorite, by far.  I have made great attempts to really connect with nature this fall and have felt an increase in optimism and positive thinking by doing so.  This weather offers extensive opportunities to stay active outdoors and take in the refreshing cool air.  I wish it would stick around a little longer, but there are other beautiful seasons on the horizon.

Challenge of the Day
Funny, I recently discussed some of my life goals in a truly meaningful conversation.  I think it is a great practice to take the time to physically write out your goals and remind yourself of your desired path.  Life, of course, is unpredictable, but there are steps along the way that may determine whether we reach a big dream.  For health goals, I would love to run a half marathon.  I'm going to set the dead line for November 2012.  For career goals, I have been searching for a full-time job for a few months now, and will remain positive in my search, practicing patience throughout this challenging time.  For mental goals, I am dedicated to meditation and dream to increase my knowledge behind the practice and improve my focus and determination.

Enlightening Tidbits

Wonderful smoothie recipe today: My test victim (I mean friend) even approved! -- carrot, cucumber, flax seed, water, frozen blackberries, raspberries + strawberries and a banana.  It was an interesting texture and tasted delicious!  I love experimenting with my blender.

Enjoy the weekend!  I'd love to hear about your Halloween plans, xo,

Aberdeen

Hi Michelle!  I always love your comments.  Thank you so much.  The farm in Hollis sounds really neat!  Your son must really enjoy that.  I carved a pumpkin with my boyfriend last night and it was so much fun!  I sketched out a cat and he carved it.  I love Halloween.  :)   No big plans this year - I am going to an engagement party tonight and I'll be passing out candy on Monday for all the trick or treaters.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
