I seem to struggle a lot these days with fear. It's annoying, because I can remember a time when I was younger and never considered the possibility of failure or looking stupid or anything else that is at the root of fear. I kind of wish I had that innocence ignorance (they're close relatives, aren't they?), but I guess that's what comes with experience.
With that in mind, I'll share something I have possibly shared before, but it's definitely worth repeating. I read this on a running forum page a few weeks ago:
Fear is nothing more than an obstacle that stands in the way of progress. In overcoming our fears we can move forward, stronger and wiser within ourselves.
Nice. I think that's a great thought to carry into the weekend.
