First Post!

Hello friends,

This is my first post in the Whole Living community and I am thrilled to be here. I've been blogging for several years.  I have a popular green beauty & indie shopping blog, Chic & Green, and I also write as a community blogger covering my town for the daily newspaper. I plan to focus on healthy beauty recipes and things of that nature here, but I thought I'd explain what drew me to be part of this community.

Once upon a time, I had my own line of natural skin care, which I sold on the popular site Etsy. I did this as a hobby since my children were still in diapers, and the one day I received an email from an editor at Body + Soul wanting me to send a face cream.

A few months later, in the October 2008 issue, my Goat's Milk Facial Cream was in the magazine on page 30. This really was a life-changing event.  All of a sudden, I was up most of the night preparing and shipping orders and I have a full-fledged business out of my home.

I eventually would close my business in order to spend more time with my children, who are now 6 and 7, but I will always feel great love for this magazine!

I look forward to blogging here on a regular basis!
