I've signed up for the Whole Body Action Plan and I'm already worried I'll abandon this program for the same reason I don't follow any productive habits - I feel like the amount of prep work I have to do outweighs any benefit I'm going to get, and that the program is too niche, too trendy to be simple and workable. For instance, I'm already puzzling over the juice and smoothie diet because, well, I don't have a juicer. I spent 20 minutes online looking at juicers and became completely overwhelmed/skeptical and couldn't choose one. I felt like I was being duped into buying something I'd regret later, and that whichever one I choose I'll overpay or be frustrated because it breaks. Then looking at the ingredients of the non-juicer recipes, I'm really skeptical my local grocery store is going to have soy-free almond milk, coconut water, or mango chunks. I don't feel like becoming a one person exotic foods importer either. I'm _really_ frustrated and I haven't done anything already. There's snow outside, I have projects going on at home and at work, I have stress in my relationship... Do I need to be freaked out by this program too?

Don't freak out! You don't need a juicer. Do you have a juice bar you could visit? Maybe do that for two days, and supplement the rest with smoothies. There isn't a rule (that I recall seeing) that says you need to drink X amount of juice for the detox. Green juice is especially cleansing for the body because you get all the nutrients from the veggies and fruits, but not the fiber so your digestive system doesn't have to work so hard. With that said, smoothies are still great!

My suggestions:
- Don't buy a juicer unless you like juice and think it will be an investment. I have one, it was a gift, and I love it and use it a few times a week. They are expensive, can be a pain to clean, and the produce for the juice can get expensive.
- You can easily make "juice" in your blender by blending together all the ingredients then straining it through a cheesecloth. This is time consuming, but it works.
- Green smoothies are excellent and cleansing! Spinach or kale (I'd go with spinach unless you have a higher powered blender) with fruits of your choice (I like banana and blueberry), ground flax seed, non-dairy milk, and a little sweetner of choice (the sweetness will vary by how ripe your banana is.)
- Personally, I'm not freaking out over the soy-free almond milk. I'm cutting out all soy for this, but I have been using Almond Breeze almond milk for years, and it's the only brand I like, so I'm using it. A little soy lechitin won't kill the other amazing benefits of this.
- What Margaret said: modify it to what can work for YOU. If you can't do juice, then do soup. Who says you can't do a blended soup for breakfast? Gazpacho, chilled cucumber, etc. Don't feel like you have to consume something because the recipes are given - they are just a guideline. Take things from the "Foods to Include" list and have fun with it!

Good luck to you!

@Sharla: I don't think drinking the Naked juices would be harmful, per se, but those are more fruit than they are vegetables, so beware of sugar content if you have sensitivity to that. I am buzzing like crazy after drinking one!

So, is it cheating to just buy a bunch of Naked juices or some other brand? I can't believe the overwhelming options in the produce aisle of premade juicer-worthy drinks. If you don't do it right the first day, keep trying. There is no wrong as long as you are mindfully trying, is there? I have yet to go shopping, but I'm still intending to do this thing!

Don't get freaked out just yet. Just modify what you need too in order to fit your life as it is right now. Use this as a guideline. Use other people doing it for support. Stay positive and do what you can. The detox is a good idea, but if you can't do it then just east lots of vegies and fruits and drink green tea and water. You can do this!
