I got styled in Napa

In search of hairspray one afternoon here in Yountville, CA, where I'm doing a remote broadcast for Martha Stewart Living Radio, I came upon Ms. Dixie’s salon, called Details with Dixie Hair & Nail Boutique, right across the street from the Villagio Inn & Spa where we’ve been staying this week. In fact, Ms. Dixie and crew won the 2010 award for Best of Napa Valley Hair and Nail Salon by Napa Valley Marketplace Magazine. So take that.

Of course, I went in to buy a single can of hairspray, but the next thing I know, Ms. Dixie’s crew of lovable moppets had descended upon me, and like a flock of sparkling fireflies, practically floated me to a salon chair where a blow-dryer bearing Ms. Dixie insisted on showing me how to give my fine, flat hair a little lift.
