There, I said it. I hate juicing. I'm actually a big fan of fruits and vegtables. I also like soups. But, I don't like juicing, and not a big fan of smoothies either. I think it's the entire idea of drinking my meal. This morning I made the beet, carrot, cabbage, watercress juice. It was sweet with a aftertaste of dirt.. ugh.

For lunch I made the buckwheat noodle dish. I really liked it. Afterwards, I went for a 45 minute walk with my husband. My husband is doing the whole body action plan with me. I think I liked it better last year. Last year, for those of you who participated, focused on cooked veggies with brown rice, etc. during the detox portion. I think because of the cold weather, it works out better. Who wants to drink smoothies in January?

But I continue chugging along. I really do want to be healthier and not just because I want to lose a few extra pounds, which would be great, but I do want to eat a lot more fruits and vegtables and healthy meats and grains to improve my overall health.

I share your disdain for juicing. I don't have a juicer, I don't want a juicer, and barely even like juice. So I've decided to skip the juices and opt for the smoothies and soups. I think the smoothie drinking would be worse since it's winter if the plan was longer, but I think I can make it work for a few days. We'll see. I start the detox tomorrow!
