Yesterday started off well, but then I went home and decided on an "easy" solution for dinner. We had a frozen pizza in the freezer and I was so hungry and it was so easy. Plus, I was able to make the excuse that I wanted to get it out of the freezer. While I'm sure that nothing ont hat pizza was on the detox friendly foods list (tomato sauce = sugar, crust = enriched flour, cheese = dairy, and pepperoni = there's no way that can be healthy!), it was satisfying and it is nice to have it out of the house :-) Plus, it allowed me to spend time prepping food for this week. I seeded a pomegranite and pitted and sliced an avocado for my lunch today and now have a reserve of more food available in the fridge. I wouldn't have doen that, or prepared a nice lunch for myself, or did that many dishes, had I prepared a whole dinner. So, I'll take the good with the bad and move on to day two.
I had great intentions for this morning. More warm buckwheat cereal with berries and cinamon. I have a helthy lunch and healthy snacks planned. Unfortunately, I got too into some projects at work and didn't eat breakfast until 11:30. Not so good! I'll wait a while longer and have a 2pm lunch I guess. Then, this time I'll make a healthy dinner. I have no idea where snacks will fit in today. I dont' want to be undernourished and I don't want to skip too many servings of fruits and veggies, but it's tough when I'm used to not eating breakfast at all. I have to learn to make time for healthy eating.
I also need to learn to make time for more water drinking! I always forget!!
I'm doing the best I can, and I'll be fine for detox time, but I'm concerned about what foods I'm supposed to be eating AFTER the detox. I need to figure that part out...
