Comment by Nikki Clark on July 5, 2012 at 4:45pm It really does seem that the money spent at the grocery store doesn't stretch very far anymore - I feel your pain. My husband doesn't like leftovers either - so I freeze almost anything and pull it out a week or 2 later. And once a week he has to deal with pot luck for dinner where we all have different leftovers and clean out the fridge. Another thing I try to do is pick up meat when it has a yellow sticker on it - yellow sticker at my store means it has to be sold that day so the price is reduced - even if I don't know what I'm going to do with it, I bring it home and put it in the freezer until I figure it out.
