I got organized yesterday. Printed out recipes and planned out a menu for the week. I'll be starting the detox one day ahead of schedule, on Wednesday, and am giving myself today and tomorrow for detox prep. A secret about me: I'm not always super organized, but I really LOVE thinking about organizing. I love planning out schedules and putting together binders and labeling things and tabbing notebook pages and all that. Love it. So imagine my joy when presented the chance to sit down and plan out a week's worth of meals and then make a grocery list for them. It sounds so crazy given that my apartment is never clean or organized, my purse is a mess and as a general rule I can't find anything I'm looking for... but trust that somewhere inside of me, I do like being organized.

Here's the food schedule for the week:
detox prep:
MONDAY
breakfast... fiber one breakfast cereal, coffee
lunch... leftover spinach & tomato quiche & baby spinach salad
dinner... roasted sweet potato and curried apple soup
TUESDAY
breakfast... oatmeal with frozen berries and stevia, black tea
lunch... something?!
dinner... something?!
detox!
WEDNESDAY
breakfast... mango smoothie, herbal tea
lunch... quinoa salad
dinner... 10 bean soup
THURSDAY
breakfast... mango smoothie, herbal tea
lunch... almond crusted chicken over a spinach salad
dinner... energy smoothie
FRIDAY
breakfast... pineapple and avocado gazpacho, herbal tea
lunch... vegetable curry with brown rice
dinner... 10 bean soup
SATURDAY
breakfast... energy smoothie
lunch... leftover almond-crusted chicken and brown rice
dinner... pineapple and avocado gazpacho
There's a bit of leftover-use and repetition in the name of keeping costs down and using what I already have... no sense in dropping lots o' dough on something I'll only use once. I may do some more recipe research and end up swapping out a few meals.
