Whadya think about these storebought smoothies? They aren't a perfect fit into the detox plan, but maybe they are good enough.

Naked (brand)

Mighty Mango Well Being Smoothie
Ingredients: mango puree, apple puree, orange juice, banana puree, lemon juice, "natural flavors" (what does that mean?)

Naked (brand)

Green Machine Superfood Smoothie
Ingredients: apple juice, mango puree, pineapple juice, banana puree, kiwi puree, spirulina (?!), chlorella (?!), broccoli, spinach, barley grass, wheat grass, parsley, ginger root, blue green algae, odorless garlic, "natural flavors" (there it is again)

Orange juice snuck in there on the first one and it's a detox no-no. All sorts of things snuck in the Green Machine concoction and I'll have to background check them. Especially those ones I've never heard of. Yikes.

$2.99 each... on the pricey side for a drink, but way cheaper than buying a ton of exotic ingredients right? If you happen to have coconut water, mango chunks and agave syrup ($$) lying around then you're probably all set. I snagged two of these premade smoothies but am also looking forward to getting to know my blender again.

Christine -- I must have read the ingredients on 8 different smoothies last night at Whole Foods. Very frustrating! I only found one -- the bossa nova brand -- that didn't have OJ or banana puree. But the bossa nova mangosteen was delicious.
