Wednesday, November 24: Have Your Cake and Eat It Too

Hosting a party and enjoying a party don't have to be mutually exclusive.
Today's challenge: Get the prep work done today.

If the big Thanksgiving dinner is at your house, invest some serious time today prepping. The turkey can't go in the oven until morning, but there's plenty you can do this afternoon. Make the pie crust, peel potatoes, wash and cut vegetables. The more that gets done today, the more you can relax and be present tomorrow.

Tomorrow's challenge : Give thanks.

Yesterday's challenge: Eat cranberries. Pledge past challenges here.

Our Thanksgiving is in October and I'm thankful we have a two and a half month period between it and Christmas. I don't know how you manage with just a month between holidays - especially when Thanksgiving is a much bigger celebration in the States!
Have a great Thanksgiving!

After 38 hours of power outage & a minimum of 38F indoors this morning, I am NOW thankful that ELECTRICITY is back on. The house should be warm again by the time our guests arrive this evening.
Our menu has to be switched to plan B.....so that we can enjoy our 4-day weekend with our friends.
Happy Thanksgiving :D

It will just be the of us this Thanksgiving, so we are paring down the meal. But, I will do the pie and make the stuffing this afternoon.

Sorry about the technical glitch, everyone -- the polls aren't working right now but we're trying hard to get them back up ASAP!

I actually had Thanksgiving yesterday. Another family member is holding the holiday @ her house, but I'm opting to spend the day alone in peaceful contemplative. Yeah, the turkey was good, but the best thing was my mashed potatoes/sweet potatoes - so glad how well they came out!
