We often take for granted all of the good things we have in our lives.
Today's challenge: Perform a gratitude ritual.

Sometimes it takes a simple ceremony to put us back in touch with all we really have. Try introducing a gratitude ritual into your routine, like this one: Pour a few drops of cinnamon oil into a diffuser or spray bottle, or crush two cinnamon sticks into a small bowl of warm water and let the aroma permeate your space. Then pick up a pen and make a list of all the people and things you feel grateful for. Get more daily rituals to keep you balanced here.

Tomorrow's challenge: Savor your summer vacation.

Yesterday's challenge: Celebrate Good Neighbor Day.

I joined www.gratitudelog.com and will be incorporating the posting things for which I am grateful into my ritual. It is very inspiring to read the posts from others - I want to be a part of such an uplifting activity and also tracking all the many gifts and blessings and all the other things for which I am grateful. Check it out!

I have started a "Happiness Project" it doesn't matter when you decide to do this but you do things that you think will make you happier, it is not about not being happy but being happier enjoying things and making time for yourself the book was written by Gretchen Rubin and she has a website where you can create your own happiness project and have the support of others. IT IS FABULOUS!

I have started a blog to keep in touch with friends and family overseas. It is also a great way to honour people in your life and to express gratitude for blessings in your life. Being that I work on the computer I have found the blog more effective than a hand written journal. My next blog is going to be about my life long best friends. Although I moved from England when I was 8, I am now 33 and we have managed to keep in touch and remain very close. I also had cinnamon on my oatmeal this morning and it was lovely :0)

Crush cinnamon......well, I did put some on my oatmeal this morning - I truly LOVE the smell of the cinnamon on the warm oatmeal. :) I too would like to make the time to start a journal -- writing down what I am grateful for is a great idea - I will start tonight!

Great daily challenge. Just recently I've started keeping a little gratitude journal, and everyday I try to jot down at least one thing that I am grateful for. That way, when I'm feeling really negative, I can go back through the journal to remind myself of all the ways I am lucky.

With my husband at Marine Corps boot camp for 3 months, I practice gratitude daily - both for his safety & for his companionship (even when he isn't here). :D
