Having had digestive problems for several years, which I felt was somehow food driven, the 28 day plan seemed to be a perfect fit for me. I started the plan at the first of the year and after one week I felt better than I had felt in years. After that first week I knew that I had been correct in thinking that my digestive problems were due to the foods that I was consuming. Then when week two came around and I started adding foods back I began to see that I had two issue to deal with, milk and whole wheat.
The issues I have with milk seems to be something I can deal with but the whole wheat is something else entirely. When I first added just a small amount I did not seem to have much of a problem. Then once I thought all was safe I must have overdose on wheat and it took several days for my stomach to settle down. Not knowing how much is too much I have chosen to stay away from it.
I am so thankful for the 28 day plan for helping me figure out what was causing my problems. This plan was my last resort before heading to a GI doctor to find out what was going on. I did not want to resort to pills to deal with this if I could figure out a healthy alternative. I will always be grateful to those who put this plan together. I feel normal for the first time in years.

Kudos for having the awareness to help you pinpoint that foods might be making you feel unwell. Unfortunately, it is all too common nowadays. SInce having a baby, wheat has been causing me and my little one some tummy trouble and if I wasn't a dietitian, I am not sure that I would have figured it out so quickly.
Be sure to talk to the doc about ruling out celiac disease; if it is present it can also cause lactose intolerance which usually resolves once a gluten free diet is started and your GI tract heals. Good luck with your health journey...
