I felt the need to give you guys a nice shout out since
Tonic.com named us (yes, that's right, including you!) one of it's "good" communities. Check out the full article
here. Why is being a "good" community so important you ask?
Well, last week
NYMag.com published an article about popular commenting communities in which they broke down the typical commenter profile for sites like Gawker, The Awl and the Huffington Post, generally condemning people who frequent communities to trolls, meanies, and bullies.
Tonic.com (a digital media company dedicated to promoting the good that happens around the world each day) decided to write an antidote to NYMag.com's article, and we were included in their short list of "
good online communities where you can log on for support, a judgment-free zone and great advice".
So thanks to everyone who contributes here and makes this community a fun and healthy place to be!
